Tupai laut.

Les vacances dernier, I had this for lunch.

It's a self service kind of lunch where you pick what you wanna eat. In Malaysia, everything is basically the same as in Singapore (food-wise), so I was looking for something local, like something special to that region (Sabah).

And I saw this.
It's sea weed.
So weird.

Seaweed in Malay is Rumpai Laut, or was it rumput laut?
I don't know, but i am known for having hearing difficulty, I heard the cashier saying its tupai laut, when I asked her what's this.

Tupai laut means, sea squirrel.

I'm like what the hell, is it sandy or something?

So I took some and had a few.

It taste...weird. Maybe it has to be cooked longer? Since its sea stuff, it taste very...umi.

And I dipped it in chilli, when I thought its soya sauce since its totally black with no chilli residues.
MAN THAT TASTE REALLY WEIRD.

Spicy sea.


Didn't finish it.

TRAVEL DIARIES: BORNEO IV

Bat observation in progress, suddenly, you cansee that there's ALOT of people/visitors at the park. Since, everyone's congregating to watch MILLIONS of bats heading out from their coven to seek food (insects).

The view is spectacular really. These bats eats up all of these little bugs and pesky lil mosquitoes. Seriously, I didn't get biten by any mosquitoes while I was there.

I have so many snippets of the bats, and it takes up memory in my phone, so I've compiled it and put it in a video for keep sake.

Also, you can see that the majority of the visitors there at Mulu, are caucasions or eurasions. We're like the only Asian/Malays there. So, it was heaven.

My phone is exploding, these the videos that I took while on vacation.

For keepsake purposes mostly.

The theme song to this holiday is Almost Paradise.

It's the OHP for a popular Korean drama: Boys Over Flower.

During our vacation, there will be instances where we will ride a boat to islands and small commercial flights to exotic isolated places. Who gets on a boat and airplane everyday man? 

So, the theme song is appropriate. Also, we're relieving an inside and years old insider's joke.

This was when we're about to take a flight to Kota Kinabalu from isolated Mulu. There was not much people and we're not known to get embarrassed easily, so yeah, we did it.

Cliche scene, cliche video. Step cliche, but we're not actually cliche or appear vogue or elegant in any way.

I love MIKA, so I had to put him in somewhere. At this juncture, I've been uploading lots of Almost Paradise videos (on instagram) (the ones I uploaded here are not uploaded in order so yeah)

This was actually the first video that was filmed during our vacation. This was at some bridge at Sarawak, there was no one else, so why not. The scenery is excellent, all the more welcoming ain't it?

5) Song: No song.
I asked my sister to take OOTD's of myself, instead, she accidentally took videos. But, I guess, it turned out pretty well.

 I will be going on a school trip to JAPAN! (ﾟ∀ﾟ)

 Finally!
My wishes are coming true!

I thought I'm able to go, since they called me saying that I'll be put into the waiting list.
So there's two list: the selected and waiting list.

The waiting list is basically a list of students who will act as a 'back-up' should someone from the selected list pulls out.

I was crushed to hear that news.
BUT!

I received an email that there might be a ray of light that everyone in the waiting list can go to the trip too!
There's 4 people in this waiting list.
(I presume since the teacher sent to uh 4 people only. lul)

I'm going!
To japan!
To tokyo!
To ibaraki!

WOOHOO!o(^^o)
So, its true huh.
I somewhat always get what I want.o(^^o)(o^^)o
LUL, like that's funny.


Anyways, even if l was not selected, my holiday won't be as bad.
I planned a back-up plan should I not get selected.
Go for a holiday to Bangkok and KL with my homies.
Nyeheh.

WORLD.

My homies will still be going to Bangkok though, without me.
CHEY.
During this holiday period, most of my friends will be abroad.
One will be in Vietnam, some will be in Bangkok, I heard one is in Canada, etc etc


So, for one week or so, I will be seeing a new horizon.
