Been there, learnt that.

I took French as an extra corricular module last year.

Thinking it would be fun and interesting because unconsciously, I find language to be fascinating.

So, I took up French after Japanese.

I learn the basics to french for a semester and got offered a higher option of French at the next semester.

I took up the offer because the first level French was not so bad, in fact, it was fun.

And interesting...as mentioned.

But boy I was shocked.

At the first 'higher' lesson, memories flooded back in.

The textbook that we were using were in 100% French.
And my teacher said that, he will be conversing in mostly French and a wee bit in English.

I'm like whut.
Dude, seriously?


NOT AGAIN.


Yeah, not again alright.

You see, I was from some Arabic school, where they made us learn Arabic subjects.
And one of the subject that lead to my downfall in mastering Arabic as a whole is...Arabic.

As in you got those English lesson, or Chinese lesson, this one is for Arabic.

The textbook were in 100% Arabic.
I understand nuts about the story/passage that was shown...and ofcourse I understand nuts about the questions that comes along at the comprehension part.

I thought I was doomed.
I was like ohgodno, not again.
I don't wanna do badly.

 Luckily, the teacher is awesome.

And I pulled out my head from my arse to set things straight.
History is not gonna repeat its self.
I just won't let it.

Because...after leaving school, I find it a waste for me for not being able to converse in Arabic well.
After 11 years++ of studying it.
Another regret for me to remember.

Contradictingly, I fare off quite well for French. (alhamdullilah)
Thanks to Allah, and my teacher who is able to put up with my stupidity (I was the slowest in class, well thats what I felt), and myself for striving hard and well not going down the path of failure.

Apart from not wanting history to repeat itself, another key motivator is that...
Hey, I actually want to do well in this field.
And I wouldn't wanna do badly for this, cause firstly, the feeling would suck because generally extra corricular subjects are easy to score in.
Secondly, I'm sure as hell, I'm not gonna pull down my aggregate nor let my A streak diminish.

 So yes, obtained the results that I want.

But I'm not stopping there,
So what if I know how to speak French?
I'm gonna make my effort last, so I took up an international recognized cert that would say: Yes, sara can speak French.


The paper was...sadly to say...bullshit.
I have no idea, what the hell happened for my listening test.
And listening tests...is what i'm good at.
I'm screwed.

Thankfully, I feel that I did well for the speaking test. So I got my fingers crossed and heart latched on to that little ray of hope that I can pass this certification.

After all, I'm not gonna let my registration fee go to waste now, would I?

Demain, je vais avoir un examen du DELF.

I may or may not die for this examination.

I am not the best student my french teacher had. (;_;)

And this test will determine how much I've retained from 1/2 years of studying french.
From April 2012 - May 2013.

Next,
I don't know why but I get particularly annoyed when people use words like:
"I am waiting for le cab"
"Shopping with le friend"
"Eating le bread"

GOD STOP IT GUYS.

And no, this annoyance is not the result of me knowing french nor me being such an arse (grammar nazi)
This is as annoying as one time when people use the japanese letter シ　as a smiley.
Or when people use :) to :) literally :) everything :)
Or when people use lol on every single sentence they make in real-life.

If you insist on using it still, go on ahead.
Its your life anyways, its my problem for disliking the le trend.

Oh wow, the and le, side by side in the sentence.
the is le in english. le is the in french.

Oh the stupidity.

Saw this bakery from a magazine, paid them a visit because they said that this is a legit french bakery.

Anyhoos,

I feel their croissant is okay, like mah mah , but!
their chocolate croissant is super delicious~!

Price wise...uh abit on the expensive side.
Well, seeing their location and reputation.
