i love hiking with friend, i can honestly say that even after trying it out for once.

i went hikinh with liyana, khairunisa and dhania. jana couldn't make it for the hike but she joined us after.

the journey is fun, and exhilirating.

we made so much noise while going up a SUPER steep slope.

and in the jungle/forest/trees we talked, we laughed, and made jokes.

though we were not supposed to make too much chattering in there.

i've been working on this mask during my short holiday period.

i am honestly very satisfied with the outcome.

I myself, can't believe I did a great amateur job on it.

Why do make it?

Its for my Understanding Art CDS.

Initially, i wanted to make a Venetian Mask (italy-mask, pretty pretty masquerade mask)

I showed my ideas to my teacher but

he said that he had been receiving alot of venetian mask,

i still can do one but it has to be great.

SO i ponder about it.

nahhh i scraped the idea.

i've always liked to be....different....in a way

and at that point of time, i like the idea of death mask,

or something a wee bit scary and troibal ish

so i though up doing batik mask( indonesian mask)

again i showed it to my tecaher,

he said its good BUT

the design on the eyes has to be precise AND symmetrical.

THATS where i suck at.

i again a scraped the idea.

and left with,

tribal-like design.

i've been liking tiki warrior ever long since.

so i googled african mask and such.

found a reference picture.

showed to my teacher, he said ok can bla bla bla.

and

during the holidays,

i start doing it.

some of friends said its scary.

but nice

so i'm content.

KL trip 2011. part 1

2011's holiday was at KL~

i went there with my siblings and my nana and one of their niece.

overall it was... a wee bit retarded in my opinion the whole journey.

i was playing the awkward child, like Arthur (robert pattinson) in How to Be, yeah i was so depressed and sad back then.

SO~!

we depart from Singapore 11pm plus,

and reached there around 5.00am by bus.

SO upon arriving and feeling a tad bit hungry.

what do we look out for?

A RESTAURANT.

AND...

we found...

and arabic restaurant.

Initially i was like, hell yeah!

I've never eaten Arabic food in my entire life before (unless dates are counted as Arabic food)

I've never eaten Arabic food in my 11years of Arabic education.

aha i suck.

but not as suckish as what comes ahead.

what do people eat when its 5.00am in the morning?

Arabic food,

and i didn't order a main course.

i ordered...under the SANDWICH section.

the falafel.

cause it sounded like the kind of food diet freaks go for.

The decor and interior of the restaurant is beautiful!

look outside, feels like im overseas (yeah pun intended)

the smell of the shop is nice,

cause its an Arabic store

and yeah

there's shisha.

so the nice smells was from it.

and there's arabic music in the background (pfft duh)

and a soccer match.

it looks like a mini doughnut.

it tastes like vadeh(indian food, it referring to doughtnuts)

and it tastes and looks like a thosai gravy (the white gravy)

and i didn't know arabs ate cucumber, well probably some asian influences has been infused...

probably.

THIS cost me 18RM which is 9bucks plus for 6 mini doughnuts.

i ordered teh,

obviously cause im matured.

the drinks came, and the teh is.....SMALL

and it tasted weird, like there's spice in it.

i thought i was drinking arabic tea

but

it couldn't be cause i ordered TEH TARIK.

and the small teh cost me 6RM which is like $3plus for a glass thats inequilauvent to the size of a shot glass.

my sister ordered some macaroni lasagna which tasted rather nice, and the spices is ever more apparent in there.

and the store gave us free plain naan bread.

probably its an arab thing.

during 5am in the morning people spend 100+ for the food bill.

on to a more happy stuffs.

after eating we got lost in KL trying to find the hotel.

and we pass by very shady areas, we saw prostitutes (idk but they look like it) like who the hell stands in front of the traffic light yet not crossing, plays music from their handphone and standing phail sexily? in skimpy clothings?

so upon arriving at the hotel...

after burning all of the calories from the FALAFEL.

we arrived.

BUT

we couldn't check in.

dafuq, we were supposed to check in at 12pm.

so yeah, we lag around the lobby.

my hotel was above a shopping centre,

and beside my hotels are other shopping centre,

my hotel was in the shopping district.

yeah around there.

SO after hours of deadness.

my nan said that we'll be visiting her friend,

so we left our bags at the hotel and went there.

by taxi

and got back to the hotel by bus.

procedure:

1)hop on the bus

2)go to bus attendant who will be walking around the bus collecting fares.

this is not practical, seriously, the bus eventually becomes crowded, and the bus attendant still has to squeeze around to collect fares.

BUT BUT BUT the cool thing is, the ticket...is so cool.

very old and vintage.

wow.

the bus is annoyingly...short in height.

i had to like lower my back if we wanna lean onto the bus,

and the bell....rings....

IN YOUR EARS....

and the aircon...

being so low....

blast wind..

IN YOUR FACE too.

and we were amazed that people can board the bus from the back.
